CGC for the Mid-Tier Momentum 2025: Navigating Challenges, Unlocking Opportunities
MCMTC collaborated with CGC at a very special event, “Mid-Tier Momentum 2025: Navigating Challenges, Unlocking Opportunities”, held at Sasana Kijang at Bank Negara on 22nd July 2025. Led by our Honorary President, Mr. Callum Chen, this highly impactful event brought together over 50 senior bankers from 20+ local and foreign banks for a morning of strategic networking and thought leadership, together with industry leaders across all sectors.
Our President, Mr. Martin Ang, introduced MCMTC’s mission, values, and our continued role in supporting mid-tier companies across Malaysia. It was an inspiring moment that highlighted our commitment to fostering strong partnerships between businesses and financial institutions.
The keynote address was delivered by Mr. Lee Heng Guie, Executive Director of SERC Malaysia, who shared a compelling perspective on balancing growth, rising costs, and economic uncertainty — a timely topic in today’s challenging business landscape.
The panel discussion, moderated by Mr. Sean Tan, Chief Business Officer at CGC, featured a distinguished lineup of speakers including Mr. Jaya Balan, Head, SME Banking Malaysia, Group Commercial Banking (CIMB Bank Berhad), YBhg Datuk Noraini bt Soltan Vice President Federation of Malaysian Manufacturing (FMM), and Encik Ahmad Haliman, Director Client Coverage, Group of Institutional Banking (Bank Islam), each bringing unique insights on navigating the path forward.
We thank all participants including our associates from the Malaysian Plastic Manufacturers Association (MPMA) and we look forward to more collaborative events that promote sustainable growth.
