MCMTC witnessed the launch of two new guarantee schemes, BizJamin MTC and BizJamin-i MTC, by Credit Guarantee Corporation Malaysia Berhad (CGC) on 25th February 2025 at the InterContinental Kuala Lumpur. These new initiatives aim to help mid-tier companies i.e. companies generating between RM20 million to RM500 million in revenue, to access financing more easily.
The event was officiated by Datuk Mohd Zamree Mohd Ishak, President and Chief Executive Officer of CGC, alongside distinguished industry leaders, financial partners, and stakeholders. In his speech, Datuk Mohd Zamree Mohd Ishak emphasised CGC’s 50-year legacy of supporting Malaysian businesses and its commitment to scaling this support to MTCs to fuel innovation and sustainable growth.
During the Event, as our Hon. President Mr. Callum Chen was unable to be present due to prior engagement, a video of his interview with CGC recorded earlier for the event, was screened. In the Fireside Chat session moderated by Mr. Azman Idrus (Head, Strategic Management & Communications of CGC), our Council Member Ms. Faith Toh (CEO of SB Tape Group) and Datuk William Ng (National President of SAMENTA), shared their perspectives and insights on MTCs and SMEs respectively. The Panel discussed and explored how the banking sector can work together to boost domestic direct investment (DDI) in Malaysia.
It was a significant event as Datuk Mohd Zamree Mohd Ishak also extended his gratitude to the PFIs and regulatory partners for their unwavering commitment to realising this initiative. He also took the opportunity to congratulate the 11 winners of CGC’s PG Sales Challenge Award and the Top Sales Guarantee Achiever Award, recognising their exceptional performance and contributions to the industry.
