Key Strategic Opportunities presented during the AGM:

  1. Sustainable Green Halal Business – unlocking crucial funding support and compliance frameworks that accelerate market entry.
Mr. Noor Mohamad, Head of Islamic Business & Market Coverage from Alliance Islamic Bank shared their comprehensive end-to-end support packages. We also had an insightful Panel Session moderated by Puan Hasziah Mohd. Yazid, Deputy Director of Mid-Tier Unit of Transformation & Digital Trade Division (MATRADE), with panellists En. Noor Mohamad (Alliance Islamic Bank Bhd), Tony Er (DagangHalal’s HIAS Digital Platform), and En. Yusram Yusup, Director of Halal, F&B and Agro-Based Products.
  2. The New Frontiers: MCMTC & Central Asia Countries
In a spirit of genuine partnership, His Excellencies, Ambassadors from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyz Republic, and Tajikistan revealed high-potential sectors in their USD453m GDP region and answered very graciously tough questions from the floor. We were also honoured with the presence of a World Bank Representative in our meeting.
  3. Strategic Regional Realignment
The Return of the Good, Bad and Ugly, moderated by President Martin, brought out more honest insights; including how to Capitalize on the strengthening ASEAN + China partnership through Yingke Consulting, and to navigate for optimal outcomes in The Philippines and Lao PDR via our established MCCI Philippines and MBCL connections.

It was an impactful event, ending with a very late but SUMPTOUS lunch, thanks to the generous hospitality of our member, Dato’ Mandy Chew of Imperial Lexis KL.
