On 21st January 2026, MCMTC co-organised LinkUp 2026, with our new Corporate Associate Member, MBSB Bank Berhad, at Imperial Lexis Kuala Lumpur, one of our member’s properties. It was an evening of fun and laughter, where insights were shared between members old and new. The Master of Ceremonies was our member, Ms Michelle Lau, Project Director of QUBE Integrated Sdn Bhd.
President Mr Martin Ang kickstarted the event with a brief recap of MCMTC’s journey and shared key events of 2025. The highlights were the introductions of our esteemed Advisors: Tan Sri Yong Poh Kon, the Chairperson of Royal Selangor, who has been MCMTC’s Advisor since 2020 and Dato’ Sri Mohd Mustafa Abdul Aziz (former CEO of MATRADE) and Dato’ Sivasuriyamoorthy Sundara Raja (former Deputy CEO of MIDA), the latter two who agreed to come on board in 2026.
Our distinguished guests: the CEO of Invest Melaka, YBhg. Datuk Ginie Lim, and the Founder of BFM, Mr Malik Ali, also took to the stage and both shared insights in their respective fields. Mr Noor Mohamed Amin bin Mohamed then introduced Navigator Global, MBSB’s digital platform which is designed to help businesses simplify cross-border trade and expand into global markets with greater confidence and efficiency. The evening was made even more special as we celebrated Mr Noor’s birthday with a surprise cake & birthday song!
Laughter abounded at the Council Members Q&A session, where our Council Members came on stage and addressed questions raised by members. Warm camaraderie and solidarity were clearly shown. We also had the opportunity to showcase and warmly welcome new members who joined in 2025.
The event concluded on a festive note with a networking dinner and a traditional Lou Sang session, symbolising prosperity, unity, and positive beginnings for the year ahead. We are grateful to Mr Noor Mohamed Amin bin Mohamed, Group Chief Commercial Banking Officer of MBSB Bank Berhad, and our venue host Dato’ Prof. Mandy Chew, the President, Director & Founder of Lexis Hotel Group, for their strong support in making the event a success.
