MCMTC Mentorship Programme Session 3
The 3rd MCMTC Mentorship Meeting was held on 3rd November 2025, hosted by Ms Eileen from Lifestyle Venture.
It was another enriching session filled with practical takeaways and inspiring updates from members actively engaging with MCMTC’s overseas missions and #GoingGlobal initiatives.
Members shared the positive impact of joining MCMTC’s Business Mission to Vientiane and Kunming last September 2025. Vincent Choy (Fedelis) highlighted the opportunities in China, stressing the value of learning from world-class practices and the need for Malaysia to keep pace with global trends.
Leon Goh (Ajiya) shared encouraging updates, including new ASEAN connections and forthcoming shipments to Vientiane. Ms Mag Ng (Mega Fortris) expressed interest in exploring potential ventures in Savan Park, Lao PDR. The session highlighted how the mission sparked new contacts and fresh business opportunities.
Members also exchanged insights on branding, market positioning, and communication strategies. Vincent Choy (Fedelis) and Poh Ai (Shibui) spoke on understanding customer personas for effective branding. A lively discussion emerged when Kasey Leong (Markaids) raised supply chain challenges, followed by Susan (Gourmet) sharing on the global matcha shortage.
The session also explored exciting prospects ahead, including a distribution centre at Savan Park, Lao PDR, and a showroom and hub in Tajikistan targeting Central Asia, Russia, and Europe.
The meeting concluded with a factory tour of Lifestyle Venture and a delicious lunch hosted by President Martin Ang at a restaurant in Kota Kemuning.
We look forward to the next mentorship meeting as we continue to support one another, grow together, and strengthen our path toward #GoingGlobal.
