MOU Exchange between MATRADE and MCMTC

On 25 February 2025, the Malaysian Consortium of Mid-Tier Companies (MCMTC) and the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) officially exchanged a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), forging a strategic partnership to elevate the global competitiveness of Malaysia’s mid-tier companies.

The MOU, exchanged at MATRADE’s headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, reinforces MATRADE’s commitment to nurturing mid-tier companies, those with annual revenues ranging from RM50 million to RM500 million for manufacturing companies and RM20 million to RM500 million for service providers.

This joint partnership will focus on three key areas: business capacity building, expanding market access, and leadership in the Halal market. Through this collaboration, both parties will co-develop trade initiatives, facilitate market access, positioning Malaysia as a leading force in Halal trade and deliver customised export support for Malaysian businesses ready to expand internationally.

Together, MATRADE and MCMTC aim to unlock new opportunities for Malaysia’s mid-tier enterprises, turning ambition into action and local champions into global players.
