On 13 November 2025, MCMTC participated in MATRADE’s MTC CEO Summit 2025, themed “Forging ASEAN’s Next Chapter: Malaysian Mid-Tier Companies Driving Resilient and Inclusive Growth.” Representing MCMTC was our Secretary-General, Ms Mag Ng, Compliance Director of Mega Fortris Bhd. This flagship event of Matrade’s MTCDP (Mid-Tier Companies Development Programme) saw the attendance of more than 300 CEOs, industry leaders and partners committed to strengthening Malaysia’s mid-tier growth agenda.

Graced by Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz, the keynote underscored the remarkable impact of Malaysia’s mid-tier companies (MTCs). Although they represent less than 1% of registered businesses, MTCs contributed an impressive 40% of Malaysia’s GDP in 2023, reaffirming their role as engines of economic resilience, export strength and global expansion.

The summit emphasised Malaysia’s commitment to fortifying the MTC ecosystem through digital transformation, sustainability adoption, regional supply-chain integration and deeper industry-government collaboration. These priorities align closely with the MADANI Economy, NIMP 2030, and the nation’s long-term export and industrial development strategies.

Another key highlight was the celebration of the MTCDP Wave 11 graduation, marking yet another milestone in MATRADE’s efforts to nurture globally competitive mid-tier champions for regional and international growth. Our MCMTC members, Hernan Corporation Sdn Bhd, I-Chem Solution Sdn Bhd, Pet World Nutritions Sdn Bhd and Ray Go Solar EPC Sdn Bhd were part of this graduating cohort.
