MCMTC held a meeting with MATRADE on 16 March 2026, at LH Plus Sdn Bhd, focusing on advancing the halal agenda, as well as explore opportunities in theMalaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS) 2026, taking place from 23–26 September 2026.
Key discussions centred on expanding halal opportunities, particularly within the non-food sector (e.g. Halal Plastics), and identifying ways to enhance industry participation. The engagement also explored strategies to better position Malaysian
companies, especially mid-tier companies and SMEs to compete more effectively in the global halal market.
In addition, both parties discussed enhancing collaboration to promote wider adoption of halal certification including participating en-bloc as Malaysia Pavillion on international platforms.
The session concluded with a factory visit and tour of LH Plus Sdn Bhd. MCMTC extends its appreciation to Mr Callum Chen and LH Plus team for their warm hospitality.
