MCMTC National Day Gathering 2026: Uniting Nations, Celebrating Success

On 28 August 2026, the Malaysian Consortium of Mid-Tier Companies (MCMTC) hosted its premier National Day gathering, “Uniting Nations, Celebrating Success: An Evening with Global Diplomats & Business Leaders,” at the rooftop, Satellite Bar & Restaurant, of Imperial Lexis Kuala Lumpur. Kindly hosted by Dato’ Prof Mandy Chew, President, Director, and Founder of the Lexis Hotel Group, this year’s celebration transcended borders to foster international partnership and cross-cultural business synergy.

The evening convened an elite assembly of MCMTC members, international diplomats, embassy representatives, and leaders from various global business chambers. Set against the sophisticated backdrop of Kuala Lumpur’s stunning City Skyline, the gathering served as a vital bridge connecting industries and cultures, creating a dynamic space for networking, idea exchange, and exploring lucrative cross-border collaborations.

Masterfully emceed by Ms. Crystal Lim, the program commenced with a stirring rendition of the National Anthem, setting a patriotic and proud tone for the evening. This was followed by a gracious welcome address from Dato’ Prof Mandy Chew and insightful opening remarks delivered by MCMTC President Martin Ang.

MCMTC’s Coffee Table Book, the inaugural edition sharing journeys & stories of our founding MCMTC Members, were presented as tokens of appreciation to the esteemed embassies and business chamber representatives in attendance. The joyous atmosphere was further elevated by a heartwarming, surprise birthday celebration for MCMTC’s Vice President (International), Mr. Kenny Lim,(also the Group CEO of Spritzer Berhad), adding another personal touch to the evening’s festivities.

One of the most anticipated highlights of the night was a special appearance by world-renowned culinary icon Chef Martin Yan. Bringing his legendary energy, infectious charisma, and signature “If Yan Can Cook, So Can You!” spirit to the stage, Chef Yan treated guests to a lively, engaging cooking demonstration that captivated the room. Lucky participants were also blessed with copies of Martin Yan’s much-sought-after “The Best of Yan Can Cook” recipe books and his beautiful Pro Knives.

The gastronomic journey continued with an exquisite ad specially curated canapé menu that celebrated the best of Malaysian manufacturing and agriculture. Highlighting locally made products and ingredients generously sponsored by MCMTC members, the menu allowed guests to savor and discover top-tier local brands: Nutrifres, Secret Recipe, Kawan Food, Miaow Miaow, Fonfood, Spritzer, Julie’s, Lifestyle Ventures, Sydney Cake House/ Makcik, Happy Alliance/Captain Dolphin, Hernan, Kanika, Mascorn, Zenxin, Erapoly/Eramas, and Global Brand Synergy/ BlackMo

The excitement peaked during the much-anticipated lucky draw segment, made possible by the generosity of the co-sponsors: Bangi Resort Hotel, Imperial Lexis Hotel, AMANI BioHacking Club, Marrybrown, and our President Martin Ang.

Beyond the speeches and culinary delights, the true heartbeat of the evening lay in the rich networking and meaningful conversations shared among members, diplomats, and industry pioneers. Feedback from attendees highlighted the invaluable opportunities presented – relationships renewed, new friendships forged and groundwork laid for robust regional and global commercial alliances.

MCMTC extends its deepest gratitude to all distinguished guests, members, diplomats, business chambers, sponsors, partners, and everyone whose presence contributed to an unforgettable evening.
