On 18 June 2026, MCMTC successfully held its 8th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Imperial Lexis Kuala Lumpur.
This AGM marked a significant milestone for MCMTC as it concluded the Council term for 2024–2026 and ushered in a newly elected Council for the 2026–2028 term. It was an evening filled with meaningful engagement and knowledge sharing among members, both longstanding and new.
The event was emceed by our member, Ms Michelle Lau, Project Director of QUBE Integrated Sdn Bhd. The programme commenced with a welcome address by President Mr Martin Ang, who presented his President’s report, highlighting MCMTC’s achievements, initiatives, and growth throughout his presidency from 2024 to 2026. Following the President’s Report, Mr Chu Chee Seng then presented his Treasurer’s Report, which was followed by the appointment of the Auditor for 2026.
The introduction of nominees standing for election to the new Council followed next. There was a total of 20 nominees vying for the 12 Council positions. Ballots were cast and the newly elected MCMTC Council Members for the 2026–2028 term are as follows:

A key highlight of the AGM was the fireside chat titled “Road to IPO – Why Not?”, featuring Ms Christina Tee of Cape EMS Berhad and Mr Tai Qi Sheng of GIIB Holdings Berhad, moderated by Mr Andrew Khoo of MUI Group. The session provided members with candid insights into the realities, challenges, and “ugly” perspectives involved in the journey from initial public listing to present day (post listing).
The programme also featured a special sharing session by Ms Crystal Lim, a B2B LinkedIn influencer, who shared practical insights on personal branding, thought leadership, and leveraging LinkedIn as a strategic platform for business growth and professional networking.
The evening continued with an engaging panel discussion titled “From Malaysia to the World: Unlocking Cross-Border and International Wealth with the Right Network and Partner.” Moderated by Mr Andrew Lim of Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Berhad, the panel featured Mr Pallav Garg of Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia, Mr Andy Yeap of Kawan Food Berhad, and Mr Lim Chee Yoong of Thumbprints Utd. Sdn Bhd. The discussion explored strategies for international expansion, cross-border opportunities, wealth creation, and the importance of building the right partnerships to support global growth.
The AGM concluded with closing remarks by MCMTC Honorary President Mr Callum Chen, followed by a networking dinner that provided members with an excellent opportunity to reconnect, exchange ideas, and strengthen business relationships.
