Callum Chen

Callum Chen, Honorary President, is the founding President of MCMTC. He was elected President and led the Consortium for the past 3 terms since MCMTC’s inception in 2019. His contribution to MCMTC has been enormous and was unanimously elected to be an Honorary President in 2024.

Callum is the Chairman and CEO of LH Plus Sdn. Bhd., an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Private Label manufacturer of high-quality, durable plastic products in Malaysia. The range of products manufactured includes food storage containers, water bottles, household organisers and medical products. 95% of total output is exported to the USA, Japan, Germany, Australia and Asia. He is also an Independent Non-Executive Director of Cape EMS Bhd.

Callum is very active in supporting the growth of local businesses in Malaysia. A strong advocate of “Together we progress”, he believes that the way to Sustainable Nation Building is to foster stronger working relationships between the private and the public sectors. He works closely with the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) and its agencies such as MIDA, MATRADE, MPC and MIDF. He is also the Honorary President of the Malaysia Plastics Manufacturers Association (MPMA), Secretary-General of Asia Plastics Forum (APF), Co-Chair (Asia) of the Global Plastics Alliance (GPA), the Chairman of the Malaysian Plastics Design Centre (MPDC). Callum is also an active GENCO Member of MICCI (Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce and Industry) and NCCIM (the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia).
