On 4 June 2026, MCMTC President Martin Ang and Honorary President Callum Chen were honoured to attend the Trade Resilience Taskforce Meeting on the Middle East Conflict at the invitation of MATRADE.

The meeting brought together key stakeholders to discuss the impacts of the ongoing conflict on Malaysia’s trade, with a focus on identifying the actual challenges affecting businesses and explore alternatives that may assist to mitigate. Insights were shared and all agreed it is crucial that concerted efforts should be made to strengthen the country’s trade resilience.
