SEMICONSEA2024 was indeed another meaningful experience for Malaysian Consortium of Mid-Tier Companies (MCMTC).On the 28th of May, our President, Callum Chen, had the honor of receiving a token of appreciation for MCMTC from YBrs. Encik Abu Bakar Yusof, Deputy CEO of Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE). Malaysian Consortium of Mid-Tier Companies (MCMTC) appreciates the recognition and support given by MATRADE, and we will continue to strive to voice out for
MTCs in Malaysia and transform them into global champions.On the 29th of May, Malaysian Consortium of Mid-Tier Companies (MCMTC) was invited by Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) to conduct a Supply Chain Talk targeting the SMEs, entitled “Seizing Opportunities: Your Pathway to Supply Chain Integration”. Our president, Callum Chen, kickstarted the event with a warm welcome address and set the tone for the event.
The first speaker, Mr. Robin Tho Huat Wong, Sales Consultant of SRKK Group, shared insights about digital transformation for SMEs and how leveraging IT can enhance supply chain efficiency, including a few success stories from SRKK Group. Following this, Mr. Jacky Lye, International Relations and Operations Manager of Gah Hong Precision Sdn Bhd , discussed how Gah Hong Precision provides cost-effective solution for engineering components’ OEMs. Mr. Nathan Chiam, Manager of TS Electrical Marketing, then spoke about innovations in switchboards and how they enhance energy data, efficiency, and ESG compliance. The session concluded with a presentation by Dr. Dennis Cheong (DBA., M.Eng.) Vice President of Nefab Southeast Asia, who shared about the environmental- and cost-efficient packaging and logistics solutions that Nefab provides, and also demonstrated some of their fiber-based solutions.
This was an insightful and informative session, and we believe that the audience gained useful information from this pocket talk. Lastly, we would like to thank Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) for the invitation, which gave our members a chance to share such valuable information with the audience.
