System Protection & Maintenance Sdn Bhd (SPM) was established in 1984 by its current chairman and managing Director, Dato IR Hj Mohd Zaini bin Abdullah. SPM’s objective is to provide engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (EPCC) services in the fields of energy, oil and gas, and industrial facilities. The company has successfully completed more than RM2,000,000,000 worth of EPCC projects throughout Malaysia, Indonesia and the GCC countries.
In addition to traditional activities, SPM has been developing a new niche in the area or green/renewable energy such as hydro plants, solar power farms as well as solar power Installations for commercial and residential buildings, landfill waste management for biomass energy and agro by-products, manufacturing of smart meters and property development. As a bumiputra player in the industry, SPM holds tightly to its mission “we are committed to continuously provide quality services safely and timely” as the fundamental principle to all its projects to ensure the satisfaction of all parties.
SPM’s determination and persistence is an essential mechanism to realise its vision “to be an established EPCC contractor in the power, oil & gas sector, and owner/operator of renewable energy power plants within ASEAN by 2020”. To ensure constant delivery of quality services, upkeeping and maintaining the company’s ISO 9001 “Quality Management System” is a critical aspect. SPM is proud to have been certified with ISO 9001 quality management system since 2004, and has recently updated to the latest ISO 9001:2015, which incorporates risk management.
