The Manufacturing industry plays a crucial role in the economy of Malaysia. With the global goal of “Towards net zero”, we recognize that some of our local manufacturing companies are facing tremendous challenges in terms of being ESG compliant as well.
On the 22nd May 2023, Malaysian Consortium of Mid-Tier Companies (MCMTC) collaborated with AmBank Group and invited Mr. Royce T.S. Tan, Director of Bosch Rexroth, to share how businesses can meet their ESG goals through IR4.0 – lean operations, sustainable growth, and smart automation.
Royce Tan has a string of titles and accomplishments to his name in the IR4.0 arena and it is no surprise that he has also been appointed by the IFC – International Finance Corporation to assist Vietnam to push the Digital Transformation for industries in Vietnam. During the session, he generously shared insights on what made Bosch Rexroth successful (FYI, Bosch has been established since 1886!) and how we can also emulate its success by following some key principles. He advised that mega waves of change are coming, like a tsunami, and we must remember the 4S – we must learn to Swim, Surf, Sail the Mega Waves or we will SINK!
