It is indeed a sweet moment to see this in the National Budget 2025 announcement! – “Program Syarikat Mid-Tier RM1billion”.
We are proud of our great leaders, led by our Honorary President Callum Chen, President Martin Ang and Council Members, both past and present. AND all members of Malaysian Consortium of Mid-Tier Companies (MCMTC), our voices have been heard!
Our cumulative efforts in the last few years of consistently reminding the Nation about the Importance and Contributions of the Mid Tier Companies at Every Available Opportunities to every Government Ministries, Agencies, Chambers of Commerce and Associations is finally paying off!
Mid-Tier Companies (MTCs) constitute only 0.8% of all companies registered in Malaysia but we contribute to 36% of the national GDP. Any support given to the local MTCs will have a much higher impact to the country’s economy, as is proven in the past few years – the resiliency & quick recovery of the MTCs from the global pandemic and the increase in DDI coming to almost on par with FDI.
Big thanks and shout out to our Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) Malaysia, led by CEO, YBhg. Datuk Mustafa Aziz and his dedicated team who has been supporting Mid-Tier Companies all the while with its signature Mid-Tier Companies Development Programme (MTCDP). Its relentless efforts in promoting Malaysia and our products are nothing short of remarkable and is well-deserving of the additional allocation to support its efforts for Malaysian Exporters!
